From the Alamo to Afghanistan, the Texas Military Forces Museum tells the story of Texas forces from 1823 to the present day. Our exhibits showcase artifacts, weapons, vehicles, uniforms and equipment including a running Sherman tank. For Austin Museum Day we will have specialists on hand who will demonstrate leather working, Vietnam era weapons, Civil War uniforms and equipment and a plastic model activity.
